On Friday the 21th we walked through langden Valley. On Holdron Moss we found the wreck of a plane (WW2 bomber), in many scattered pieces. The aircraft is a Mustang AP208, which crashed because of the fog on 29 November 1942. The pilot’s name was Paton Sholto Marlatt, Canada, was 29 years old and married to Vera, with whom he had a child he had never seen before. He is buried in Lytham St Annes in Lancashire.
